As you all know, Speaker Sprowls moved Rep. Sabatini’s office moved to the basement of the Capitol as a form of punishment for the anti-establishment barbs the popular conservative lawmaker has been making.

It has gotten ugly. Sabatini told The Floridian that Sprowls had “Sabatini derangement syndrome” and even took a swipe at Rep. Chris Latvala (R), calling him a “fat Mitt Romney.”

Lapado addressed the media and held his own against some of the more ‘colorful’ Tallahassee reporters. Later in the day, as we were inhaling our Gumbo soup at Harry’s restaurant, Lapado happened to drop and reiterated his appreciation of the governor for picking him to be the Top Doc in the state.

And of course, we recommended the spicy gumbo soup and the blackened shrimp salad.
