Florida Resident Killed In Freeway Fatality In Orem On Halloween – Daily Herald

The Utah Department of Public Safety has released the name of the individual killed in a car accident on Interstate 15 near mile post 272 at 800 North in Orem early Sunday.

Season M. Dow, 43 of Tampa, Florida, was killed from the impact.

According to the DPS, a call came in at 12:05 a.m. Sunday that a Kia passenger car was stopped in the right emergency lane of I-15 southbound. A Toyota pickup was traveling south at the same location and drifted into the emergency lane, striking the passenger car.

There we two occupants in the passenger car. The front seat passenger, Dow, was killed in the impact and the driver was transported by ground ambulance with serious life-threatening injuries, DPS said. The condition of the driver is not known at this time.

The driver of the pickup had no injuries and was transported to the section office, where she was arrested for suspicion of DUI, according to DPS reports.

Four I-15 southbound lanes were blocked for extrication after the crash. An investigation into the crash continued throughout the day Monday.
