Central Florida events this weekend provide plenty of ways to celebrate Juneteenth — marked annually on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of slaves in the United States.
Black Theatre Girl Magic offers performances featuring their members as well as other Black performers.
The Kissimmee Juneteenth Festival celebrates community, culture and unity with live music, food and vendors.
Both Bronze Kingdom Museum and the Hannibal Square Heritage Center have special celebrations planned for June 19.
And Painting with a Twist presents a Juneteenth painting experience with a short production called “Freedom Delayed” presented by Black Barb’z Entertainment & Community Outreach Inc.
