Florida State offered Allen (Texas) five-star defensive lineman David Hicks on Tuesday. The offer was extended after a conversation with FSU defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins. Prior to Allen, he played two seasons at Katy (Texas) Morton Ranch.
Hicks is considered the No. 22 prospect in the nation and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports.com Composite Recruiting Rankings.
He is quickly approaching three dozen offers. FSU joins Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and many others.

On the football field in 2020, he had 52 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks and three forced fumbles.
